Terms for lead packs
Updated 14 October 2026 · version packs-2026-10-14-1
These terms apply when a licensed mortgage adviser or advice firm buys leads from Alfred Assistance Limited. Paid advertising and content engagements are covered by the written proposal agreed with each firm, not by these terms.
Who we are
Alfred Assistance Limited (company number 9431273, NZBN 9429053709301), 41 Park Hill Road, Birkenhead, Auckland 0626. In these terms, "we" means Alfred Assistance and "you" means the adviser or firm buying leads.
What a lead is
A lead is an enquiry from a person in New Zealand who completed our enquiry form, confirmed their own mobile number with a text code, and agreed to be passed to one licensed mortgage adviser. It includes the answers they gave, such as what they want to do, their timing, and ranges for price, deposit and income.
Answers are as the person gave them. We don't check identity, income, credit history or whether they will qualify for lending. That assessment is yours.
People who say they already work with an adviser, or who are outside New Zealand, are not sent to you as leads.
Where leads come from
Leads come from anywhere in New Zealand. We don't match or filter by region, and borrowers are told their adviser may not be local. You receive every loan type by default. Email support@alfredassistance.com any time to narrow it.
Exclusive to you
Each lead is delivered to one firm only. We don't sell or share the same lead with anyone else.
Orders and payment
A first pack is at least 20 leads. Top-ups are at least 10 leads. The price per lead is set out in your order or invoice and is exclusive of GST.
Summer deal: if you buy a first pack of 40, 60, 80 or 100 leads and place the order by 11:59pm NZT on 31 December 2026, we add 5, 10, 15 or 20 free leads respectively. The free leads apply to a first pack only, are delivered after your paid leads within the same 30-day window, and are not included in top-ups. You pay only for the leads you buy.
You can pay by invoice, by the due date shown on it, or by card through Stripe. If you choose to save your card, we charge it only for top-ups you ask for.
Before delivery starts
We check your FSP number on the Financial Service Providers Register before any leads are delivered. Borrowers are told a licensed adviser will contact them, and this check is how we keep that true. If the check doesn't pass, we don't deliver and we refund what you paid.
Delivery starts the Monday after payment and the FSP check are complete, or the next working day if Monday is a NZ public holiday. Leads arrive progressively over 30 days.
Top-ups bought in your portal also start on the Monday after payment (or the next working day if that Monday is a public holiday) and arrive progressively over 30 days.
Delivery
Leads are delivered as they come in, with an alert and in your portal. We aim to complete a pack within 30 days of delivery starting. Volumes vary from day to day and we don't promise a set number per day or week.
If fewer leads than you bought arrive within those 30 days, the rest roll over and keep arriving at no extra cost, and we add 5 bonus leads to your pack.
Replacements
Claim a replacement in your portal within 7 days of the lead being delivered. We replace a lead when the number is disconnected or invalid, or when you couldn't reach the person after at least three calls and one text over at least 72 hours between your first and last attempt.
We don't replace a lead because the person chose not to go ahead, didn't qualify, or went with another adviser or lender once you had spoken with them. Claims made after 7 days are reviewed case by case.
Referrals
If you refer another firm using your referral link and that firm buys its first pack of 20 or more, we add 5 leads to your next pack at no charge. Referral leads are fresh leads delivered in the normal way, never leads that have already gone to another firm. One referral credit applies per referred firm.
Pausing and unused credits
You can pause delivery at any time by emailing us or from your portal. Unused credits stay on your account while it is open. If you close your account, we refund credits that haven't been delivered.
Your responsibilities
You must hold, or work under, a current financial advice provider licence and follow the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services, the Privacy Act 2020 and the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.
Contact each person promptly and only about their enquiry. Honour any request to stop, including a STOP reply to a text. Don't sell, share or pass a lead to anyone outside your firm.
Once a lead is delivered, you are responsible for how your firm collects, uses, stores and protects that person's information.
What we don't do
Alfred Assistance is a referral and lead service. We are not a lender or a financial adviser, and we don't give financial advice.
We don't promise that any lead will apply, be approved, settle or earn you commission.
Liability
You buy leads for the purposes of your business, so the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a pack is limited to what you paid for that pack, and we are not liable for loss of profit, commission or other indirect loss.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. This version applies only to orders for which you accept this version. Existing orders keep the terms accepted when they were placed. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
